MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR

1st Sunday of Lent – February 17 – 18, 2018

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Reminder that the Parish Office will be closed on February 19th in observance of Presidents Day, have a safe and wonderful weekend.
  • As part of our 2018 Jubilee Celebration, the first service project will take place on February 25that 10:45a in the Social Hall.
  • Please see the Bulletin concerning Child Safety Awareness.
  • Remember the Parish has been given access to the Formed.Org website. This is a wonderful website to dig deeper into your faith.
  • There will be a worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend coming up on March 16-18 for all married couples.
  • Anyone interested in learning about C.S. Lewis’, The Screwtape Letters, please check out the Bulletin for a class at St. Francis of Assisi.

MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR

6th Sunday of Ordinary Time – February 10 – 11, 2018

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • The call to all Catholics within the Diocese of Colorado Springs for the Returning God’s Gifts Annual Appeal will be starting this weekend.
  • There are “The Word Among Us” booklets available for Lent in the back, in English and Spanish, please only take one.
  • This weekend the Rosary Society will be giving out pens to help celebrate the start of St. Joseph’s Jubilee year. One per family & they will be given out after mass.
  • This month’s Youth Activity with Fr. Bogdan will be a Crazy Valentines Dinner Party this Sunday February 11th from 2:30 – 5:30pm.
  • As the 2018 Jubilee Year Celebration has begun we are planning four service projects beginning this weekend. We will be collecting food items to make up 250 backpacks (not 50 as printed in the Bulletin) for homeless youth in our area. Please see the bulletin for the items needed.
  • Reminder that Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday February 14th check the Bulletin for mass times.
  • Stations of the Cross will be celebrated every Friday during Lent starting on February 16th at 5:30pm. The Knights of Columbus will be serving their Fish Dinner immediately following this first Friday.
  • Deacon Al will be starting an Adult Bible Study throughout the Lenten Season. He will use Bishop Robert Barron’s series on conversion, classes will take place on Monday mornings from 10 – 11am and Thursday evenings from 6 – 7pm. He will be in back after all masses for all wanting to signup.

 Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • The Mardi Gras Dinner will take place today Saturday February 3rd after mass. Tickets are still available after mass in the Social Hall.

  • Bishop Sheridan will be celebrating the noon mass with us on February 11th. Please join us for this special Youth Mass and the Speaker Series with him immediately following mass.

MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR

4th Sunday of Ordinary Time – January 27 – 28, 2018

 Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • The Youth Group event will be Dart Warz this Sunday January 28th. Meet in the Social Hall at 2:30pm.
  • The Lord has blessed us with many gifts. Now we just need to apply the gifts He has given us to serve Him here at OUR Church.
  • This coming Friday February 2nd is the first Friday of the month; we will celebrate Mass at 5:30pm with Holy Hour immediately following.
  • The Mardi Gras Dinner is fast approaching, next Saturday February 3rd. There will be a catered Louisiana dinner and a live band. Tickets are still available after each mass or by coming by the Parish Office.
  • Next weekend there will be a Blessing of the Throats after all masses.
  • Sunday February 4th is Welcome Sunday, come share a smile, pleasant conversation and a doughnut after each mass.

  • This Sunday after the 8 and 9:30 a.m. masses the Knights of Columbus will be serving their wonderful breakfast. Please plan on joining us for some wonderful conversation and a smile or two.
  • The RCIA Class will be having a guest speaker from Pike Peak Right to Life, this Monday January 22 starting at 6:30pm. All are invited and welcome to come and participate.
  • The Annual Free Throw Competition for all boys & girls ages 10 – 14 will be held next Saturday January 27th.
  • The Youth Group event for this month will be Dart Warz next Sunday January 28th. Meet in the Social Hall at 2:30pm.
  • Please take a moment to thank all of the Ushers, Greeters, Lectors and Proclaimers. They have offered their talents to the Lord for His abundance and grace in all of our lives. The Lord needs all of our talents.

  • We are in need of volunteers in all ministries here at St. Joseph. Please prayerfully consider joining one of the ministries here at your church.
  • Next weekend at all masses we will have a guest speaker, Helen Blessings, who will explain to us the Formed.Org website and how we can all access the movies and training information about our Catholic Faith.

The Holy Family – December 30-31, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • The new 2018 calendars are in the vestibule with a limited number in Spanish. They are free for everyone courtesy of Saint Joseph Church.  Please take only one.
  • January 1st is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year but mass will still take place at 8am. Remember the parish office will be closed on Monday January 1st for New Years Day.
  • There will be a Memory Tree Mass on Jan. 5th, 2018 at 5:30PM and First Friday Adoration following the mass. This will be a special Mass to remember all those living and deceased who are represented in the Memory Tree. The names of all that were buried from our parish will be read during that Mass.  Please join us!
  • The annual Christmas Dinner will take place on January 6th after the 4PM Mass. Signup sheets are in the vestibule. Please see the bulletin for further details.
  • As the new Liturgical Year has begun, please prayerfully consider joining one of the ministries here at your church.

3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT, December 16th – 17th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • SUNDAY MORNING ONLY: The Knights of Columbus will be selling Breakfast Burritos To Go after the 8 and 9:30am Masses this Sunday.
  • The greatest gift we can give to the Lord is the gift of our time and talents. If asked by the ushers to bring forth the gifts for communion please offer up your time for Our Lord. He would be pleased to accept your precious gift.
  • Ushers and Greeters are still needed for all Christmas Masses. Please see the sign up lists in the narthex under the schedules.
  • Please check the Bulletin for the mass schedule and times. The Parish office will be closed Friday December 22nd and Monday December 25th.
  • There will be an Altar Server Training on December 20th at 5:00pm. All current and prospective Altar Servers need to attend. Any questions contact Felix.
  • As the new Liturgical Year has begun, please prayerfully consider joining one of the ministries here at your church.
  • The Children’s Angel Choir will be singing on December 24th before the 4pm Vigil Mass. Come join us to sing Christmas Carols.
