 MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR  

24th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, September 16th – 17th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Please join all of us in saying thank you and offering a fond farewell to Fr. Sean McCann as he prepares to return to Rome this next week. You should be able to find him at the Knights breakfast this Sunday.
  • Remember the Knights of Columbus will be having their breakfast following the 8 and 9:30am masses. Please join us for a great breakfast and some wonderful fellowship.
  • Confirmation class will start up this Sunday at 1:00pm.
  • RCIA classes will begin this coming Monday September 18th at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. All interested adults please plan on joining us Monday evening.
  • St. Gabriel the Archangel Church will host the showing of Thérèse: The Story of a Soul. This touching story of St. Thérèse of Lisieux will take place this coming Thursday September 21st at 6:00pm., admission is a free-will offering.
  • The Rosary Society is having their annual retreat at El Pomar. Ladies from the parish are welcome to join us to hear discussions on the life of woman in the Church, female saints and the writings of St. Therese of Lisieux. Signup sheets are in the back of the Church.
  • St. Joseph will be celebrating our 50 year anniversary in April, 2018; in preparation we will be hosting an International Food Festival next Saturday September 23rd from 9am to 3pm to help raise funds for the Anniversary Jubilee. We are in need of volunteers to help at the Food Festival. Do you have a 10’X10’ or larger, canopy tent that you would be willing to let us use?
  • Attention all young people, 6th thru 12th Next Sunday September 24th from 2:30 to 4:30pm, please join us to talk and to enjoy pizza, watch a movie and play games. Looking forward to seeing you there. Any questions see Cathy Kusman.
  • The Rosary Society will be having their Cripple Creek trip coming up on September 27th. Please see the Bulletin for all the details.

23nd SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, September 9th – 10th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • A reminder that Faith Formation begins this Sunday after the 9:30am mass. We are all excited about this new year.
  • Do you or a family member need prayers. The St. Joseph Prayer Warriors are available to pray for those in need. You are always welcome to join the Prayer Warriors as well. Please see the bulletin for complete information.
  • Joseph will be celebrating our 50 year anniversary in April, 2018; in preparation we will be hosting an International Food Festival on Saturday September 23rd from 9am to 3pm to help raise funds for the Anniversary Jubilee. We are in need of volunteers to help at the Food Festival. Do you have a 10’X10’ or larger, canopy tent that you would be willing to let us use? Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Is God talking to you? Faith Formation is in need of just a few more adults to assist with classes. Please consider giving a few hours of your valuable time to do the Lord’s work.

  • Baptismal Class is scheduled for September 10. Please go to the Parish Office to register.
  • Attention all youth, 6th thru 12th Sunday September 24th from 2:30 to 4:30 will be your opportunity to enjoy pizza, a movie and games. 20TH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, August 19th – 20th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed the Parish Picnic. The day and the weather were fantastic. Thanks to the Knights of Columbus who did a wonderful job on the grill.
  • For anyone interested being part of the RCIA Team, there is a mandatory meeting this Tuesday August 22nd at 6:00p.m. in the Parish Center. Please come join this wonderful ministry of welcoming new comers into our faith.
  • All Faith Formation Teachers and Assistants, there is a mandatory training this coming Tuesday August 22nd at 6:30p.m. in the Parish Center. Please plan on attending.
  • Registration continues this weekend for Faith Formation Classes. Classes will start on September 10th. Registration packets are in the back under the Faith Formation bulletin board.
  • Faith Formation still needs a couple more Teachers. You do not need to be a Biblical Scholar, just willing to spread God’s Word. Please pray and contemplate giving of your time and talents for our younger parishioners.
  • The second collection today will be for the Returning God’s Gift Campaign, thank you for the first fruits of your harvest.

MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR  

19TH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, August 12th – 13th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Last chance for you to purchase that lucky winning ticket from the Knights of Columbus. They will be selling tickets after each mass this weekend except the noon mass as the winner of the raffle will be announced at the parish picnic.
  • A reminder that the Parish Picnic will take place this Sunday, August 13th. There will not be a 12:00p.m. mass, as it will be celebrated at the park. Ushers, Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers are assigned for the mass at the park. Please see the schedule.
  • A reminder that this Tuesday August 15th is a Holy Day of Obligation, The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. There will be an 8:00 a.m. mass and a 5:30 p.m. mass.
  • Registration is in progress for Faith Formation Classes. Classes will start on September 10th. Registration packets are in the back under the Faith Formation bulletin board.
  • Faith Formation still needs Teachers. Please pray and contemplate giving of your time and talents for our younger parishioners.
  • The second collection today will be for Capital Improvements, thank you for the fruits of your labor.
  • The new Confession and Mass schedules will take place next week on Saturday August 19th with Confession moving to 2:45 until 3:45 and Mass at 4:00. On Sunday August 20th the 10:00 a.m. mass is moving to 9:30a.m. Please make note of these changes.

The Transfiguration of the Lord

  • The Knights of Columbus will be selling tickets after each mass this weekend and after the Saturday 5 pm mass and the 8a.m. and 10a.m. masses Next Sunday. The winner of the raffle will be announced at the parish picnic next Sunday August 13th.
  • A reminder that the Parish Picnic will take place next Sunday, August 13th. There will not be a 12:00p.m. mass, as it will be celebrated at the park. Ushers, Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers are assigned for the mass at the park. Please see the schedule.
  • There will be some time changes to the Confession and Mass schedules that will take place in two weeks on Saturday and Sunday August 19th & 20th. Please take a look at the bulletin for complete details.
  • Registration is now ongoing for Faith Formation Classes. Classes will be starting on September 10th. Registration packets are in the Narthex under the Faith Formation bulletin board.

  • There will be a farewell reception for Deacon Doug Marsh after each mass this weekend as he is being assigned to St Dominic’s in Fountain. Come join us to wish him a fond farewell.
  • A reminder about the Rosary Societies Cripple Creek Trip on August 2. Please sign up and bring your luck for a good time.
  • You are all invited to a free concert to see the world renowned Tony Melendez. He was born without arms and learned to play the guitar with his toes. He played for Pope St. John Paul II. The concert will take place at the Pikes Peak Center on Thursday August 3 at 7pm
  • Please stop by and see the Knights of Columbus as they are still selling tickets after each mass to benefit the 50th anniversary of St Joseph’s Church in April, 2018. The winner of the raffle will be announced at the parish picnic on August 13th.

  • The Rosary Society is still collecting items for the rummage/garage sale to be held on July 28th & 29th. Items will be accepted on Monday, Wednesday from 1 – 3pm. Items collected and sold will benefit the Jubilee Celebration next year.

  • The Knights of Columbus breakfast scheduled for this Sunday July 16th has been changed from a breakfast to burritos for sale. Please help support our Knights and enjoy a delicious breakfast burrito.
  • A reminder that this Sunday July 16th our youth are invited to attend a fun day with Fr. Bogdan. They will meet after the 12pm mass. Permissions slips are required and are located in the vestibule. Please see the bulletin and Kathy Kusman for complete details.
  • The Rosary Society will start collecting items for the rummage/garage sale to be held on July 28th & 29th.
