MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR

Solemnity of Christ the King – November 25th– 26th, 2017

            Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Please see the Bulletin concerning St. Joseph’s Christmas Giving Tree and the dates involved.
  • Starting in December for all weekend Masses only, we will start locking the Chapel Doors once Mass has begun. You will be able to enter from the rear parking lot door.
  • Memory Tree lights are available for purchase again this year. They are $10 for 1 or $25 for 3.  Order forms are available in the vestibule & the parish office.
  • To Lectors, the new liturgical year begins next week, if you have not picked up your copy of the Lectors Workbook please see Felix in the office to obtain your copy.
  • This Friday, December 1st is the first Friday of the month; we will celebrate Mass at 5:30pm with Holy Hour immediately following.
  • There will be Polish Confession and Mass on December 3rd, with confession at 1:30 and mass at 2:30pm.
  • There will be an Advent Penance Service & First Reconciliation on Tuesday December 5th at 5:30pm.
  • December 8th is a Holy Day of Obligation, The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mass times are 8:00am and 5:30pm. The Parish Office will be closed.
  • There are free copies of The Word Among Us, for the month of December in the vestibule. Available in English and Spanish.
  • The second collection today will be for The Missionary Community in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Thank you for the sharing of your first fruits.

November 18-19, 2017

  MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR  

33rd SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, November 18th – 19th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • The Rosary Society has completed baking the pies that were ordered. If you ordered one, they are available in the social hall after each mass this weekend and there are additional pies for sale.
  • The Youth activity for this month will be bowling this Sunday, November 19th from 2:30 – 5:30pm. Drivers are still needed, check with Cathy for complete details.
  • The “Book of the Dead” is still available in the vestibule near the west entrance. You may enter the names of your deceased loved ones whom you would like to have remembered during the month of November.
  • The Memory Tree orders are now under way. Please see the bulletin about purchasing a light for your loved ones.

32nd SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, November 11th – 12th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Donations for Thanksgiving Baskets are being accepted in the Parish Office. There is a list of needed items in the Bulletin as well as drop off dates for canned/boxed items and for turkeys.
  • The Rosary Society will be baking and selling pies for Thanksgiving. Order forms are in  the back of the church.
  • The Speaker Series will have a two part discussion on Apologetics after the 12:00pm mass this Sunday and on December 10th. This should be a wonderful discussion.
  • The Speaker Series will continue this Monday November 13th at 6:30pm, with a discussion about the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Saints. Please join us.

31st SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, November 4th – 5th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Donations for Thanksgiving Baskets are being accepted in the Parish Office. There is a list of needed items in the Bulletin as well as drop off dates for canned/boxed items and for turkeys.

  • A reminder that St. Joseph is still taking appointments for the Parish Directory. You can call the company or go online to schedule the time that works for you.
  • St. Joseph will be hosting a Veterans Dinner next Saturday November 11 following the 4pm mass. All are invited to join in honoring and celebrating our Military Veterans. Please see the signup sheets in the vestibule.

30th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, October 28th – 29th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Donations for Thanksgiving Baskets are now being accepted in the Parish Office. There is a list of needed items in the Bulletin as well as drop off dates for canned/boxed items and for turkeys.
  • A reminder that St. Joseph will be doing a Parish Directory. There will be people in the vestibule after each mass taking appointments for your photo. Please stop by and sign up.
  • Divine Redeemer will be selling raffles tickets after each mass today. Help support their annual drive.
  • Wednesday November 1st is a Holy Day of Obligation, All Saints Day. Mass will be celebrated at 8am, Polish Mass at 2:30pm and evening mass at 5:30pm.
  • St. Joseph will be hosting a Veterans Dinner Saturday November 11 following the 4pm mass. All are invited to join in honoring and celebrating our Military Veterans. Please see the signup sheets in the vestibule.

  MASS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR  

29th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, October 21st – 22nd, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • This weekend is World Mission Sunday. This weekend is set aside each year to help the Church recommit themselves to the missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice.
  • Donations for Thanksgiving Baskets are now being accepted in the Parish Office. There is a list of needed items in the Bulletin as well as drop off dates for canned/boxed items and for turkeys.
  • The Speaker Series is returning this Monday, October 23rd with guest speaker Bishop Sheridan, discussing the Mass & the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
  • Please remember that St. Joseph’s will be having an International Rosary and Potluck this Wednesday October 25th starting at 5:30pm. The Rosary will be prayed in five different languages with the Potluck following. Please join us for prayer and dinner.
  • This Thursday October 26th, at 6:00pm, there will be an after action meeting to discuss the success of the International Food Festival and to discuss future such events.
  • Trunk or Treat is back and will take place on Friday October 27th. We are in need of volunteers to decorate their car trunks and to hand out candy. Please see the Bulletin for all the wonderful details.
  • The Confirmation Retreat takes place on Saturday October 28th, from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Contact Cathy Kusman for details.
  • A reminder that St. Joseph will be doing a Parish Directory. Please make an appointment to have your picture taken for the directory. Information about the picture and the directory are in the bulletin.

28th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, October 14th – 15th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • This Sunday October 15th the Knights of Columbus will once again be serving their delicious breakfast after the 8 and 9:30 masses. Please plan on joining us.
  • This Sunday the Knights of Columbus will be having a membership drive. Men who are interested in joining please see one of the Knights after each mass.
  • St. Joseph will be having a Craft Fair and Bake Sale October 20th & 21st. Can you help with the Bake Sale by donating a baked good? They can be dropped of Thursday thru Saturday.

27th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, October 7th – 8th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Joseph’s will be having their annual Senior Appreciation Dinner for all persons 55 and over this Sunday October 8th after the 12 p.m. Mass. Thank you for being part of the St. Joseph family and we look forward to enjoying some quality time together.
  • There will be no adoration next week, October 9th thru October 13th and no mass Tuesday thru Friday.
  • October is “Respect Life Month”, St. Joseph and the Knights of Columbus are supporting the Roses for Life Campaign. Roses will be given out after all masses this weekend. Donations are greatly appreciated.
  • The Annual Rosary Rally will take place here on October 14th. Please see the bulletin for complete details.

  • Welcome Sunday is back. Stop by after the Sunday Masses for coffee or juice and a doughnut.
  • St. Joseph Parish is sponsoring a day for the Marian House. Volunteers can help on October 5th. Please see the bulletin for details.
  • October is “Respect Life Month”, St. Joseph and the Knights of Columbus are supporting the Roses for Life Campaign. Roses will be given out after all masses. Donations are greatly appreciated. Please see the Bulletin.

25th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, September 23rd – 24th, 2017

Welcome to Saint Joseph Church.  We would like to welcome any guests or visitors with us today, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Beginning this Monday September 25th, for the 8a.m. weekday masses the main church doors will remain locked. Please enter through the side chapel doors.
  • Faith Formation is in need of 2 more adult Teacher Aides to serve in the 5th & 6th grade classes. Please consider giving back to Jesus an hour of your time.
  • Attention all young people, 6th thru 12th This Sunday September 24th from 2:30 to 4:30pm, please join us to watch a movie, play games and to talk and to enjoy pizza. Looking forward to a fun afternoon. Any questions see Cathy Kusman.
  • The Rosary Society will be having their Cripple Creek trip coming up on September 27th. The leaves should be beautiful on the ride up. Please see the Bulletin for all the details.
